Boston duo Timeflies combine pop songwriting styles with the studio tricks and big sound of EDM. Members Rob Resnick (producer) and Cal Shapiro (vocals) first met while playing in the Ride, a funk band that gigged around Tufts University. They formed Timeflies in 2010, and a year later self-released their debut album, The Scotch Tape, the title being a reference to Shapiro's love of drinking Scotch. On the Internet, Timeflies Tuesday soon became a regular feature of the band's video sharing channel with popular charting hits all getting the unique Timeflies treatment. With subscriptions to the channel climbing at a quick rate, the Island/Def Jam label signed the group and released their One Night EP in late 2012. The single "I Choose U" followed in 2013. In 2014, Timeflies returned with their sophomore album, After Hours, including the singles "All the Way" and "Somebody Gon Get It" featuring T-Pain. Timeflies third full-length album, Just For Fun, appeared in the fall of 2015 and included the singles, "Worse Things Than Love" (featuring Natalie La Rose), and "Guilty."
